Conforme anunciamos em primeiríssima mão na nossa Seção de

estamos fornecendo

sobre o que vem por aí.

O selo divulgou o real conteúdo deste kit que trará 3 DVD's, 6 CD's e um belíssimo livro
Neste "box set", os fãs receberão:
- 6 shows completos, gravados para o TTWII (1970), em 6 CD's : estes CD's estão completos do início ao fim e contém várias gravações ao vivo e monólogos de Elvis nestes shows e que jamais foram lançados anteriormente.
- 3 DVD's preenchidos por mais de 9 horas de material com excelente edição técnica, multi-ângulos/takes incríveis: estes 3 DVd's (tecnologia "dual layer" ) contém material extraído de cerca de 50 dvd's diferentes que foram massivamente pesquisados a fim de encontrar a melhor qualidade com centenas de horas colocadas juntas para no final perfazer um total de 9 horas entre shows e ensaios, na mais alta qualidade técnica possível. Os colecionadores poderão notar facilmente as inúmeras sequências de multi-ângulos nestes DVD's, o que sem dúvida é um grande prazer para os ávidos fãs do TTWII.

| 13/11/2008 - JAMES BURTON FAZ DOAÇÃO DE GUITARRAS! |
James Burton doou 15 guitarras acústicas ontem, dia 12/11, em cerimônia que está sendo considerada como um dos maiores acontecimentos já ocorridos na história da Rutherford House - em Shreveport, Lousianna - um centro de assistência social para a juventude, sem fins lucrativos. As guitarras ajudarão na imediata implementação de um programa voltado para a música e os jovens credenciados à este Centro.
O laboratório de artes musicais foi aberto há 4 meses atrás e o Prof. Micheal Sneider procurou pela ajuda da James Burton Foundation a fim de conseguir os instrumentos. Esta ação faz da Rutherford House a primeira instituição de assistência social a receber guitarras em doação.
Em seu discurso, James enfatizou que "com muita frequência, ele vê criatividade emergindo por jovens através deste tipo de assistência - e que desta forma, aqui está a esperança em futuros melhores, cogitando inclusive que um dia, quem sabe, algum destes jovens possa estar repetindo este mesmo gesto dele, James, fazendo doações de mais instrumentos!"
"The James Burton Foundation" é sustentada pela "James Burton International Guitar Festival". O dinheiro destes eventos é destinado a comprar guitarras e a prover aulas à jovens músicos. Desde que a Fundação foi formada, em 2005, aproximadamente 1.800 guitarras já foram doadas à escolas de música diversas nos EUA.
Burton - que já tocou com ícones como Elvis Presley, Roy Orbinson, Jerry Lee Lewis, entre tantos outros - disse que programas de música nas escolas são muito importantes: "O que eu realmente quero, é poder retribuir o que tenho através desta Fundação, trabalhar com crianças e jovens e manter a música nas escolas, porque através da música o ser humano obtém disciplina. Eu não poderia jamais pensar na minha vida sem a música".
Após seu discurso, os jovens assistiram à uma "jam session" com Burton; um funcionário antigo que toca violão (Mr.Criner) e um músico local que toca violino (David Dooley).
Ao final da jam session, Criner disse: "Eu posso encerrar minha carreira agora...acabo de conhecer James Burton. Ele é uma lenda viva. Tenho que conseguir a gravação do que fizemos agora!"

09/11/2008 - ELVIS ENTRA PARA O "MUSIC CITY WALK OF FAME" |
No último domingo, dia 09/11, aconteceu a cerimônia de premiação aos artistas indicados no ano de 2008 pelo "Music City Walk of Fame" em Nashville, TN.
Dentre eles foram homenageados: Elvis Presley, Martina McBride, Little Richard, Randy Travis entre outros.
Esta premiação anual é patrocinada pela Gibson Guitar, uma das fundadoras do "MCWF" e representa o reconhecimento do imenso talento, criatividade e diversidade de estilos musicais, que têm feito com que Nashville seja conhecida como "A Cidade da Música".
Os homenageados foram reconhecidos oficialmente e para cada um deles foi colocada na calçada do Hall of Fame Park, marcos com os respectivos nomes.
Em nome de ELVIS PRESLEY, Mr. Joe Moscheo aceitou a premiação e o representou no evento.
Moscheo é membro original dos "The Imperials Quartet", que trabalhou com Elvis entre o período de 1967 à 1971, estando inclusive com Elvis em seu triunfal retorno aos palcos em Las Vegas em Janeiro de 1969 (na foto abaixo, Joe está à direita de Elvis).
Interessante notar que em Novembro/2001, quando Elvis entrou para o "Gospel Music Hall of Fame", sendo reconhecido pelo conjunto de sua obra sacra, Joe Moscheo também estava presente para aceitar a nomeação e representar Elvis no evento. Naquela ocasião, junto à Joe estavam também Ed Enoch (Stamps Quartet) e Gordon Stocker (The Jordanaires).
